We are committed to customer satisfaction, if you would like to see or test one of our guitars prior to purchasing please reach out to us. All orders have a custom selection for the wood body, color or neutral, and neck choice. All orders are custom thus making all sales final with a limited warranty to the original purchaser.

Custom Orders | Limited Warranty


All instruments produced by Furthest Waves LLC are built to order and customized to the purchaser’s selected specifications.

By placing an order, the purchaser acknowledges that:

• The instrument is a custom-built product.

• Wood grain, figure, and natural variation will differ from sample photos.

• Minor aesthetic differences are inherent to handcrafted instruments.

All Sales Final with a Limited Warranty

Because each instrument is custom-built to order:

• All sales are final.

• We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds once production has begun.

• Personal preference (tone, feel, weight, aesthetics) does not constitute a defect.

Payment Terms

Full payment is required at the time of purchase:

• Production begins once payment is received. Guitars are typically shipped within 3-4 weeks. Guitars will be shipped via FedEx or UPS.

• By submitting payment, the purchaser agrees to the Limited Warranty and Custom Order Terms.

Custom Build Acknowledgment

This Limited Warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and is not transferable.  Proof of purchase is required.   

Warranty Coverage

We warrant that the instrument is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for:

  • Structural defects neck, body, and headstock: 1 year to original owner from date of purchase

  • Electronics & hardware: 1 year from date of purchase

  • Finish: 1 year from date of purchase (excluding natural aging and cosmetic wear)

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear (fret wear, checking, corrosion)

  • Fret wear or replacement

  • String breakage

  • Finish checking, sinking, or aging

  • Wood movement due to environmental changes

  • Setup adjustments (action, intonation, truss rod tweaks)

  • Setup changes due to seasonal shifts

  • Damage caused by:

    • Accidents, drops, or misuse

    • Humidity outside 40–60% RH

    • Exposure to heat or cold

    • Improper storage

    • Shipping damage not arranged by us

    • Modifications or third-party repairs

    • Use of string gauges exceeding factory setup specifications

Natural wood variations are not defects.  Wood is a natural material and may shift slightly due to environmental conditions.

Limitation of Remedies

Our sole obligation is repair or replacement of defective parts at our discretion. 

Customer pays shipping both ways unless otherwise determined by us.

All orders are custom thus making all sales final with a limited warranty to the original purchaser.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, we disclaim all implied warranties beyond the stated coverage period.

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties, so these limitations may not apply to you.

Warranty Claims Process

To request warranty service:

  1. Email: furthestwaves@gmail.com

  2. Provide:

    • Proof of purchase

    • Serial number

    • Description of issue

    • Photos

If the issue is covered:

  • The Company will repair or replace the defective component at its discretion.

  • Customer is responsible for shipping the instrument to the Company.

  • The Company covers return shipping within the continental U.S.
